Looks like flashmobbing is back to coincide with the "froth" (it ain't a bubble says McCabe, it's "frothy"). BoingBoing talks about an Anti-DRM flashmob hitting a Paris CD store recently.
The activists went to FNAC, a giant record store, and at 7PM, a whistle was blown, whereupon the whole group unfolded anti-DRM signs saying things like "STOP DRM" "SAY NO TO RESTRICTED CDs" "YOU OWN THE MUSIC YOU BUY" and began to hand out leaflets explaining the dangers of DRM to other patrons. After they were all kicked out, they set up an anti-DRM information picket in front of the story.
I seriously want to participate in a flashmob at least once this year. Whose coming with me? Who should the target be? Who is the most disgusting example of corporate excess in Australia? AWB?
So who has perverted the flashmob concept? They used to just be about meeting at a point and all holding a spoon or pointing at something... now they're being hijacked for political purposes. Interesting. And the poor kids just get sucked right in...

Hehehe... Maybe after the chat at ACMI after Cory inspires us!
It would have to be a store open late on Tuesday nights... Bourke St Mall? Casino?

it should be something that we truly despise. What about the filming of ROVE? What if we all book tickets to the audience, sneak in cameras (to record the event) and flashmob Rove?
