Inspired by Jason Calacanis' recent post, I'm going to try my hand at writing tabloid-styled headlines for each post from now on...
So I got out of hospital this morning. My surgeon broke the news to me this morning that the surgery didn't work and I'll have to go back for another try in a few months. GREAT. That was just after he - literally - grabbed my eyeball with FORCEPS and moved it around in my head WHILE I WAS AWAKE! THAT'S an experience I want to live through again - not. Mr Clockwork Orange.
In other news... no, there is no other news. TPN hit by a major comment spam attack this morning. Got to get Akismet up and running properly. Oh and it's Mano's birthday today. Good onya mate. As I told you this morning, enjoy today, cuz you are doing to work harder this year than you ever have in your life. :-)
Does this mean it's free to you, your health fund, Medicare???
Surely your surgeon cannot make any money out of failures...

You've noticed spam going crazy just lately, too?
I installed Akismet this morning...

Rachel, I'm sorry to hear about your young son. However I'm not blaming the surgeon. He's the only specialist for strabismus in the country. He did warn me ahead of time that in a very small percentage of cases the eye doesn't respond normally and may require a second operation. I'm seeing him again tomorrow for further tests.
