Ben Barren just flicked me this link about Casting Words, yet another podcast transcription service.
I've been saying for 12 months that this whole podcast transcription idea is crap and I'm sticking by it. Every podcast has ALWAYS had shownotes which describe what the show is about. So where's the additional value? My take on transcription is that it is a classic example of geeks getting excited about what is POSSIBLE without thinking about what is VALUABLE to customers.
Am I missing something?
Transcribing podcasts has many advantages. My friend Jef de canga has brought out ebooks from his podscasts. he used www.transcriptionstar.com
This service is from India at very low cost.
