I'd never heard of Dick until the other night when he was another of Renee Blodgett's guests (along with Belinda and I) at a party down in SOHO. Identity isn't something I've been paying much attention to, figuring out that smarter people than I will work it all out. Dick (along with Kim Cameron and Steve Gillmor) is one of those smarter people. He's also a killer presenter. Brilliant style. Rapid fire, monotone, but has the audience in the palm of his hand. Apparently he borrowed the style from Larry Lessig (he gave attribution).
So what is Identity 2.0?
Think Web2.0 but for identity. The user is in the middle, not the site. It sounds a lot to me like Microsoft's Hailstorm initiative from 2000 but, of course, not proprietary.
Dick runs a company called SXIP. I just subbed his blog. He's definitely a guy to watch.
