Yeah sorry for the late notice, but I'll be a guest on RRR's BYTE INTO IT show in a few minutes. I'm actually sitting in the studio in Brunswick at the moment. If you're in Melbourne you can listen on 102.7 and if you're not, you can hear the stream and the podcast at the RRR website.
UPDATE: Damn, these "real" radio folks don't give you much time to rant, do they? The mp3 can be found here and my few minutes can be found 34:20 in.
Luckily I was texting with cam on Skype while he was in studio when he told me he was going to be on so I hit the Stream.
Wasn't a bad interview and I couldn't believe the last question the girl asked but Cam just shot her down in flames which made me laugh. I can't remember the actual question but I am sure Cam will upload a podcast of it tonight or tomorrow.
Good job and looking forward to Sunday night. Will have to record Cam on 60 minutes.

Nice interview Cam - you spoke very well, coherent and convincing. :) I wish you'd been right about ringtones too. ;)
BTW kudos to RRR for putting the podcast up so damn quickly!
I thought that the interviewers asked reasonably educated questions - and I didn't find Keren's last point ("podcasting/radio are complementary technologies") bad at all. It's a pretty common opinion and one that I tend to agree with though I know Cam doesn't... :)

Have to agree with MattyT. This show points out why there is a place for podcasts of Radio shows. It is taking the beuaty of both delivery methods. The instantness of Radio with the timeshifting of Podcasting.
Nice interview Cam.

I guess I will need to listen to the show again, maybe it wasn't such a silly question after all. Or maybe I am just so biased towards podcasting that I thought it was stupid.

Just listened via the .mp3. Queued to 34:20 and there you were! Radio is getting interesting. Think I will listen to Dr Karl and a bunch of random podcasts on my bike this arvo. You spoke well - Im going out to my back yard to inspect the termite damage and try to visualise the future of 'traditional mass media' business models.

I didn't mind Keren's last question at all. In fact, it was a great dorothy dixer - I just we had more time to discuss it.
Here's the thing that most people don't appreciate about the MSM v New Media debate - As Michael Corleone would say "it's not personal Sonny - it's strictly business".
The big question is - do the advertising-based economics of MSM hold up if they experience a decline in listener attention? How much decline can they withstand before the decline in revenues is destructive to their corporate structure and investment modelling? 50%? 25%? 5%?
Read JD Lasica's brilliant book "DARKNET" for a deeper analysis.
