A scene from the new Nic Cage film "Ghost Rider" is being shot tonight in the street in Melbourne where I pick up my kids from kindegarten (Francis Street). When I was picking them up, the street was pretty much blocked off with trucks and set crew. There were posters with Nic Cage's face in motorcycle gear advertising "Johnny Blaze"... not sure if they are props from the film or some kind of internal production promotional gear. I remember reading Ghost Rider as a kid but haven't seen or heard of it for years. After the shocking job director Mark Steven Johnson did on "Daredevil" a couple of years ago, I don't have my hopes up for this film either. But cool nonetheless having Nic Cage shooting around Melbourne.
You should have nicked one! Would be worth major coin on eBay :)

They seem to be shooting at various locations in and around Melbourne. One of the Melbourne Metroblog bloggers wrote an entry in March about it (http://melbourne.metblogs.com/archives/005905.phtml#12664)
