Cool Shite

It's a long time since I've had a chance to listen to any new non-TPN podcasts, but the guys from Cool Shite On The Tube have been emailing me lately about their show and, so, this morning I finally tuned in.

And I loved it. This is entertaining shite. Cool Shite is another movie review show and these guys are movie geeks like me. I think I could seriously listen to movie podcasts all day.

Here's the funniest thing though. The show I listened to had them reviewing "Napoleon Dynamite", a film we'll be talking about on TPN Movie this week and which I really enjoyed. These guys, however, HATED it, and they blast it for fifteen minutes. Here's the funny bit though. One of the main reasons they said they hated it was because it was set in "Buttfuck, Nowhere" and they couldn't relate to living in a place like that... BUT... wait for it... wait for it... THESE GUYS ARE FROM TASMANIA!!! Bwaaahahahaha.

Anyway, then they reviewed "They Live" by John Carpenter and I've never seen it, but I think I need to. It sounds awesome! Thanks guys. GREAT show.

'They live' is absolutely brilliant. i saw it 20 odd years ago and for science fiction/horror it can't be beat.

It's been a great day - first we get props from Cameron, take a roadtrip through Buttfuck, Nowhere, Tasmania for an audition in Hobart, and then I get my copy of They Live on DVD from Amazon UK when I get home.

Oh, and we just watched the Russian film, The Night Watch, which was all sorts of shades of Cool.
