It looks like Newsgator's website is down for maintenance, so I'm going to post this question here and hope I come up on their Technorati search.
I recently had to set up a new PST for Outlook and I dragged the Newsgator folder from my old PST to the new one, figuring all of my subscriptions would come across with it. Some of my subscriptions seem to work ok but the vast majority aren't updating.
Can anyone give me any hints how to fix it?
UPDATE 29/03/2005: Gotta love those folks at Newsgator! They picked up my post and sent me a couple of emails last night. Unfortunately, the suggestions they gave me I'd already tried and hadn't worked, so a couple of days ago I deleted all of my feeds, uninstalled and re-installed Newsgator and re-imported my OPML. Only took about ten minutes all up. Painless.
Hello,
I have a couple of solutions for getting your feeds back.
1. Reset your base news folder by clicking the NewsGator toolbar button and selecting "Options" - in the Folder tab, in the Base News Folder section, be sure that the path for your base news folder is correct. It may be or incorrect. If so, click the [Change] button and select the base news folder
2 click your base news folder to see if your feeds are still there. if not, you may want to merge with your NewsGator Web/Online...
Synchronize Outlook and Online:
1) in Outlook, click the [NewsGator] toolbar button and select Options
2) in the Online Services tab, enter the Username and Password from your NewsGator Online account, then [Verify]
3) once your credentials have been verified, click the checkbox for “Synchronize subscriptions” and this will display a wizard. Follow the instructions.
I hope this helps...
Regards,
Ronnie
