This is great news. Bobby Fischer has finally been released from detention in Japan, after EIGHT MONTHS, and has landed in the country that has granted him citizenship.
Don't you think the US government would have better things to do than to chase someone whose only crime has been playing chess?
Frankly, no, I don't. I think the US Government has plenty of useless matters, such as this, to attend to and that this is only a teeny, tiny matter compared to all the other teensier, tinier matters that they have to... Oh, sorry, I thought you were expecting a goofy answer. I'll try that again.
Why, yes, it's ludicrous to think the US Government is pursuing this aging, chess-playing hippy. Yugoslavia circa 1992 was a relatively nasty piece of work, if you ask me - I remember it like it was 13 years ago. The man should be awarded a medal [damn, it] or at least a blue ribbon.
