The front cover of USA Today yesterday (Wed 9 Feb) has a big headline which says:
"Is podcasting the next big thing?"
The good news, for us, is that this should make more people aware of podcasting. The timing for my trip couldn't be better.
The bad news is that neither G'day World nor The Podcast Network got a mention. They listed the top ten Podcast Alley shows but we're currently about number 13 or 14. That's bad because the coverage would have drawn more traffic. There are some great photos and interviews of Curry and D&D. You should see Curry's "studio"! Holy crap. This guy is spending MONEY. As usual, the American press is covering Americans. Geeez.
The other positive of the article, however, is that there was no mention of anyone else doing what we are doing. The Podcast Network intends to be the first company to make MP3 players into a legitimate channel for advertising by expediting the production, distribution, adoption and monetization of downloadable audio programming. We're going to turns this into a business. A BIG business.
"We're going to turns this into a business. A BIG business." This reminds me of a famous saying(s):
Pinky : " Gee, Brain what do you want to do tonight?"
Brain : "The same thing we do every night Pinky. Try to take over the world!"
Best of luck in your endeavors!
Molly
