I was interviewed this morning by Joshua Gliddon from The Bulletin magazine. I think that's the first time either Mick or I have been interviewed by the mainstream press (ie not bloggers... Of course, Trevor Cook interviewed me for The Walkley Magazine and Duncan Riley interviewed us for The Blog Herald before this, and we much appreciated their coverage! .. but you know what I mean...) about either G'Day World or The Podcast Network. We're also chatting to Business Week tomorrow morning and I think Mick's doing the Sydney Morning-Herald later in the week. And they've all approached us, we haven't (yet) gone seeking press. So... we started G'Day World at the end of November. It's now Feb 7. That's about 9 weeks for the press to show some interest. I'm glad it was an Aussie publication that picked it up first!
Good stuff. Perhaps surprisingly, the Bulletin have given emerging web stuff good coverage in the past... check this one I contributed to about blogs from 2002: High on the blog :-)

Way to go Cameron/Mick!
The next thing you know, you hear the media saying "2 Aussie blokes taking over the world, one podcast at a time"...
Just er, watch out for that "tall poppy syndrome" that seems to be flying around these places...
I'm not 100% sure on this, but I think one other Aussie blogger (Michael Still) will be over in Redmond this week. http://www.stillhq.com/cgi-bin/blosxom/2005/02/06#000001

You know, you are doing something right if they come to you and ask for more. Usually that is the point when you just found your 'lighthouse'. :o)
