Yesterday Buzz Bruggeman pinged me on IM and asked me to log into Skype. We then had a brief conversation, him from demomobile in La Jolla CA on his laptop, me from home in Melbourne AU on my desktop, so he could demonstrate Skype in a live fashion to Amy Wohl. It worked great! And then, while I'm on the subject of Skype, last night I had to call Smith Barney in NYC to sell some MSFT options. I decided to try SkypeOut again, because even though my experience with it to date has been patchy, Buzz keeps raving about it. This time it worked brilliantly! I am starting to suspect my issues with it might have a lot to do with my dodgy wireless network at home. Too many concrete floors and walls between my base station and my PC...
Anyway, after meeting Amy Wohl via Skype, I checked out her site and found this interesting article on Microsoft's recent attempt to figure out what "the kids" want from technology. Fascinating and unpredictable feedback.
