Okay it's been a while.
On June 13 I started a new diet. Inspired in part by Jeremy Zawodny, I built a brand new spreadsheet to track my daily KJ intake and progress.
My original goal was to lose 2kg a week but after the first week I realised that was perhaps a bit too ambitious and I might lose motivation, so I pulled it back to 1kg a week.
In the intervening three weeks, I've lost 5.1kg. And, as you can see from the attached spreadsheet, that includes eating ice cream most nights for dessert and even the rare Krispy Kreme donut!
I'm feeling pretty good about it at this stage and am confident I can keep this up for the next 7 weeks.
Well, I guess if the diet is working than go for it but I don't know if it would be best for me. Keep it posted on your progress.

Cameron,
How do you go about tracking your kilojoule intake... I always find that my biggest issue - eg, going to foodcourt for lunch and trying to figure how many kilojoules are in that salad pita bread roll I ate....

yeah Scott that's the tricky part. There are some good sites though like Fitday.com and CalorieKing.com.au which will help you work out a pretty rough guess. The other thing to do though is to only eat what you KNOW you can count. So instead of dining out, make something at home, work it out ahead of time (from the nutritional guide on the side of the packet) and take it with you. Once you've done it for a week, you kind of know what everything is, and just repeat it the following week. The first week is the hardest.

Good job on your results and keep it up. I would also like to bring to attention that your goal setting was great and motivated you to lose 5 pounds while still eating desert.

Keep up the good work Cam. I lost 2 pounds a month for 15 months straight. Tracking everything really helped me bro. It was kind of a pain in the butt but well worth it. Every time I would plateau I would just look at my log and improve something somewhere
Keep it up man
