What happened Ed? You were beautiful, man. You were my hero. You changed the face of rock. Get your shit together and come back man. We need you.

UPDATE 19 March, 2006: Blabbermouth has excerpts from a Feb 2006 interview with Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, revealing a lot about the reunions with Dave and Sammy, the recent tour, and the current stats of VH. The bottom line is - don't expect to hear from them in the near future.

Eddie responds... http://pop.wizbangblog.com/2006/03/15/eddie-van-halen-responds.php

Nooo.....who can age that much in just 22 years. Are you sure that's not his father?

Looks like a cautionary tale to me.

Eddie and Ozzy should get together and do a bunch of anti-drug messages. Just stand there and show before and after shots should be enough to turn a lot of people from using drugs.

omg wat happened 2 his gorgeous hair?!!!!

This is the face of meth addiction. Look upon it and weep.

You bunch of ill-fated "I'm still young and beautiful" idiots! Take a picture of yourselves now and compare it to a pic some 22 years back. Get it? Still think you're young and beautiful? Really doubt it! Furthermore, Ed has been drinking, smoking, and God knows what else, since he picked up a guitar for the first time. Man! It's like no one has the right to age without having to be ragged on. You're still bad ass in my book, Eddie. And it's because of you that I, @ 42, still play guitar! So, I don't really care what color your hair is, how fat or skinny you are or even if you're bringing your kid on board. Just take care of yourself and thanks for your wizzardry on Mr. "Frankenstein"!
