I was dropping of my iMate for repair (crappy imate mobiles..but that is another story) and people were intently looking at the television screen in the waiting room and they all seemed to know the names of the horses. I thought to my self, wow so many people into gambling....then the race finished and they announced the winner of the Melbourne Cup...it suddenly made sense.
