With thanks to The Fang for the image!
Unfortunately not all of the TPN shows made it into this first round, but I’m told 12 did, namely:
Claybourne
GDay World
AFL
Bizblog
Gadget
Health
Media?? (I don’t even KNOW that show)
Mobiles
Movie
NBA
Tablet PC
Tech Addiction

Guess you can ignore the email I sent you :)
Just looking at that picture though he has the music store highlighted although there is a podcast option. I know this a stupid comment but if you have to subscribe to shows via the store, and Australia Itunes store isn't running yet, will Aussies be able to subscribe?
Do the shows you subscribe to from the store then move to your podcasts? I kind of think it silly that they only have limited podcasts. In the ideal world Itunes would as a podcatcher and download anything you asked it to but then mabe it does.
I assume Media would be the media centre show.

oh yeah good thinking Tony! I'm having trouble even FINDING our shows inside it. Whenever I search for "thepodcastnetwork", it times out. :-(

You have a copy of 4.9? Is it already out?

I am downloading 4.9 now...woohoo

Ok another question I am wondering if anyone has found out. Is there a way to play earlier shows from the podcast tag in 4.9? It only shows the most recent show for each podcast and no way to play earlier shows. I subscribed to some I haven't listened to before and would like to listen to them in right order but can't seem to find a way to do that...

Yep. Click on the arrow next to the show's title and take your pick. Get one, or get 'em all.

Thanks. It's too easy....I got to say I am really liking this :)

Me too, although I just realised that iTunes is discriminating based on whether the track has been played at all, rather than if it has been played all the way through like it usually does. This means you can't download the latest show, listen to the intro, and then expect to have the rest on your iPod if you are only transferring unheard podcasts. Kind of sucks, as transferring all will lead to a mess. I prefer the playcount system I've been using (genre-Podcast, playcount-0). I don't know why they went this way.

Well I haven't uploaded any to my Ipod as yet..still got 30 podcasts to listen to including some I am trying to re-download. Thought I would try and get them all in the podcast area as it is easier to manage I think. I have basically been uploading to Ipod based on date added to Itunes.
Still have a long way to go...
Do you go through and re-tag all your podcasts to Podcast genre as I know a lot either don't tag them at all, or tag them as something else. That is why I have been doing as recently added. As son as Ipodder has finished getting a podcast it loads Itunes and adds it to the library. They have been pretty easy to track that way.

I just let Doppler set the genre for me and use a couple based on mashups, podmusic and podcasts
