The secret Downing Street memo
Here's more on the UK memo (the so-called "smoking gun") that indicates the US and the UK (and probably Australia) invaded Iraq knowing that there was no evidence to support it.
- The actual memo.
- Analysis of the memo.
- An article by the ombudsman of the Washington Post on the lack of US coverage of the issiue.
- Google News summary to help you keep up to date.
I don't know what pisses me off most:
- that our Governments invaded a country and killed a hundred thousand people;
- that our Governments lied to us about this for so long;
- that our Governments thought we were stupid enough to believe their lies;
- or that we voted them all back in again.

All existence is suffering, no?

Well Ben I expected various forms of comment for this post, but quoting the first of the Buddha's Four Noble Truths wasn't one of them! And I don't even know what you mean but... yeah okay. :-)

Anyone wanting to see some reasonable amount of attention payed to the memo should go on over to http://www.johnconyers.com and sign Representative Conyers' letter demanding a response from Bush. He's looking for 100,000 signatures endorsing the letter, and if he gets them he's said he will present it personally to the prez.
