Here's a chilling firsthand account by a writer for the Washinton Post. My youngest sister and mother were on Phi Phi island about six weeks ago. Everything was washed away on Phi Phi except two large hotels.

I think a lot of the people who have posted on this site really don't care for what has happened to these people and the orphaned children. I find it excruciatingly heart breaking to hear people say "I'm really sad about what happened but to be quite honest htis shool report I have to hand in tomorrow and haven't done yet is bothering me a little so could you do it for me please?"
I think we should be more conciderate of those who are less fortunate than us.
